In 2016 Dee Najvar began to feel the tug of wanting a change scenery from busy city life in Houston. She and husband, Don, searched for ranch acreage and found the perfect spot in Lavaca County. Their Wagyu cattle ranch, 7-6 Ranch, is located between Schulenburg and Hallettsville, Texas.

We started out with 5 bred purebred black Wagyu cows beginning a small cow calf operation in August 2019.

After dining on Wagyu steak, we knew we wanted to raise Wagyu cattle. We started out with 5 bred purebred black Wagyu cows beginning a small cow calf operation in August 2019. In November 2019 we purchased a purebred Akaushi bull, Elvis, (red Wagyu) to breed with the Wagyu cows.

Since then JCC has been committed to raising and selling superior American Wagyu cattle.

The way we see it, our herd is part of our family. It is our responsibility and pleasure to make sure our cattle get the best treatment. They are pasture grass fed, grain supplemented during certain times of the year, grain finished and never treated with growth hormones. Life is good on the ranch for us and our cattle!
